After contracting with Sears and ASI for over 20 years, Ernie Donati decided to open The Counter-Fitters in 1987. Our original shop was located in a small building on Summer Ave. The business grew and moved the shop to a larger area on Broad Ave in no time. At the end of 2016, we purchased our building located on Summer Gale Dr. With over 50 years of experience, Ernie has a reputation for being a perfectionist in all his work and stands by what he fabricates.

 

The company has been operated by family now for several years. We take pride in our work, providing quality and satisfaction to every customer, fabricating and installing our countertops. We specialize in custom countertops but also offer a wide range of services.

    Original quote and measurements were accurate. Had to order specialty piece for extra wide island, so install had to be scheduled for several weeks out. No problems with contacting or obtaining quote from company. Much better customer service, price and attention that I was able to find at the big box competitors. I believe in multiple quotes and this company came in average compared to others, but they definitely excelled in quality and service. I recommended them to my mother who had her countertops replaced in March of 2013 and she is very pleased with their service, quality and price.

    We're still in the process of deciding, but after seeing one person express such a poor experience, I thought I should share my good experience with the community to offset. I contacted Ernie late on a Friday night to see if we could get into his showroom on Saturday (normally by appointment only) and he was very responsive to accommodate my request. Since then, we've spoken by phone, and exchanged information via email about countertop options and prices. His prices seem to be mid-range; we've received lower quotes and higher quotes.
